How to Set Voltage Limit for Mastech CC CV Power Supply

Mastech regulated DC power supplies typically come with displays for both voltage and current, which always show the actual output, not the input setting. To set the voltage limit, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the power supply without any load connected (very important!).
  2. Make sure the power supply is in "CV" (constant voltage) mode; if not, adjust the current knob slightly up to send it in the CV mode.
  3. Gradually adjust the voltage adjusting knob until the voltmeter displays the desired voltage limit.
  4. The voltage limit you set is the maximum voltage the power supply will output until you adjust it again.
